Pale ruby red tending to garnet. Highly complex nose with spices, liquorice, dog rose, flowers and dried fruit. Fresh, elegant, structured and persistent on the palate, with soft tannins.

For its 100% Nerello Mascalese from old bush-trained vines in Monte Gorna, its volcanic minerality and its long ageing in barriques and bottle.

Medium- to long-aged cheeses, white-meat ragù, feathered game, hunter-style rabbit and black-pig sausage.
